I just finished a inspirational book called The Why Are You Here Cafe?
Found out that the book is supposed to be Fiction (to the rest of the world and to the author himself) but Singapore chose to put it under Non-Fiction. Like, HarloOw? That's SO misleading(And embarrassing might I add, that we can't differentiate between fiction and non-fiction--the world regards it as fiction but we don't!)! I Almost thought it was a true story (how'd I know since the author and narrator of the book is of the same name?) until I went online to search about it.
The suggestions implemented in the story wasn't all that great, cos it just isn't that easy to let things go. At least, that's how it is coming from me, a Singaporean.
But still, the questions and thinking process leading me on in the book is pretty good. And the author succeeded, I was pretty inspired by the book. (I kinda disagree with his answer to the second question. I don't fear death because I have alot of things undone and am afraid that time will run out. I fear death for other reasons. And when I read what he wrote, my first thought was actually "Sweeping statement!!") Set me thinking though, and I'm not sure about my own answers for the questions too.
Anyhow, I'll post the questions here:
Why are you here?
Do you fear death?
Are you fulfilled?
